    Hi,
In the Crop Tool the simplest way to apply the crop is to choose another tool, i.e. the Pan Tool.
On the small Reset-arrow in the Crop tool bar you can either reset the crop with the arrow alone - or you can toggle between the before/after images of the crop with the key combination Alt+Reset-arrow.
If you have introduced the Keystone lines - and have still not moved the lines (no -Apply button- is visible in the center), the lines are not removable with the small Reset-arrow from the Keystone Tool bar.
Again you can select the Pan Tool (or any other tool), and the lines disappear.
If this is not helpful, maybe your installation needs to be repeated.

Each tool has an individual reset. In the tool's title bar, you'll find a number of small symbols at the right. Hover your mouse over the symbols and a curved arrow will be the one you are looking for.

    Paul,
As far as I can see, you can't remove the Keystone lines with any of the Reset-arrows (local or global) - you can only reset the adjustments.
My point is, that it is possible to remove the lines by choosing another tool.

I just installed Capture One 6x pro and was playing with the crop tool. I can't find how to reset or get out of the crop tool altogether. I even deleted to photo, brought it back and when I did so the crop vertical lines were still present. I removed the photo and the lines were still present on the desktop.
I am new to this program but NOT to photoshop, lightroom, NIK, Topaz, etc and have never been stumped like this. There just has to be a way to get out of any given adjustment attempt.
    Please advise.

    Hi,
by any chance did you activate the help lines? Those can be switched on/off by a button in the right upper section of the toolbar. It turns orange when on and grey when off. It's on the side of the exposure warning tool which can be switched on/off in the same way.
Working with the crop tool itself is only placing the mouse at the borders and pushing / pulling - a process which can be aided by the selection of aspect ratios. An already cropped view can be moved around by the handles and the mentioned help lines can be used for this for example for placing important elements in the photos to the shown 1/3rd cross sections. Hope this helps.
