    Couple ways to reset adjustments.
1 - Right click on the thumbnail > reset
2 - In the image viewer, look up on the tool bar. Curved arrows are used for undo/redo. There are two curved arrows pointing left. One is arrow only and is 'undo'. The other is arrow pointing against a vertical bar and this is 'reset'.

If you would like to both see your adjustments and an unadjusted original, you can right click on the thumbnail and select 'new variant'. Then you have an original version and the one you have been working on...

Either way, resetting the RAW in C1 has nothing to do with the RAW outside C1... Reset it if you like, but, as you found, there are no changes to the RAW file itself. ACR or Lr will happily work on the the same RAW file. They will reference it and you can make changes visible in those programs while at the same time making changes with C1.

Any changes with C1 (or Lr) will be visible outside the program only when the changes are exported. The changes are exported when a TIF or JPG file is created.

+ The RAW file is like the model posing for the artist. The software adjustments are the painting made by the artist but only visible in his studio (C1 software) until the artist exports the painting to a gallery for viewing. The artist can make all kinds of changes to the painting in his studio but never gets any paint on the model/RAW file. More than one artist (Lr, C1, etc) can paint the model at the same time.

++ and in C1 the RAW file appears changed because C1 adds a couple subdirectories where the RAW is stored. These subdirectories hold files that record the changes you make in C1 so the RAW isn't touched. The files (sidecars) may be hidden from view. Depends on OS settings.. So, moving the RAW file by using C1 session file browser (rather than OS file browser) keeps these files together with the RAW. It is possible to use the OS browser, of course. If you move the whole directory holding the RAW, no trouble. If you want to move only one or two RAW files, the sidecars can be left behind if you aren't careful with the OS browser..

This all might be more answer than you wanted. Might be stuff you know anyway. If you have other questions, though, ask..

    Thanks.
I don't know why I missed the Reset Option with Right Click.
    But there it was...
