    Ok I think I found my answer….. Once I make adjustments to any RAW images I need to save to archive in order to save my working data alongside my RAW files.

    Workflow – Selected Capture Settings – Save To Archive.

    The only difference to using something like Bridge is that they aren’t the same file name and instead look more like this:

    UID0B41CA86D8B31F7B390EE2C3DCE4FAFB.C1w

    Few…. Hope a future version betters this process!

    The reason Capture One uses the UID hash name is so the work file will be associated with the raw file no matter where it is stored or what it is named. The hash is based off of the contents of the file.

    There are pluses and minuses to each system. Capture One's works great when there is just one central storage area for the work files. But when storing the settings along side of the raw images it does make sense to name them similarly.

    I believe 4.0 will be storing the settings with the images by default, but I don't know if they'll be getting rid of the hash naming system.
