CO 7.1.2 renders cropped area in final images
Just found another bug in Capture One 7.1.2.
Opening a project after a couple of days to render my files I've observed that the cropped area is rendered too! WTF? It happened only to a couple of them but I have to go through all files to check everything is right. This is so annoying if I can't trust Capture One Pro 7.1.2 anymore. Im scared to open other projects because they might get damaged as well.
The solution was to create a clone from the files within Capture One and render them again.
See the attached file.

I have this issue as well, but only in thumbnails. The cropped area is shown in the viewer as long as the crop or rotate cursor is selected, which I assume is normal, but should disappear if you choose the select (arrow) cursor. Have you tried changing the cursor?

CO can crop outside the image area if needed. For your purpose (cropping inside the image), please make sure that "Crop outside image" is not ticked. 0 -
Same problem with Select "Arrow" cursor. Seems like after opening a project it somehow corrupts it.
@Christian: Crop outside image is not ticked. When I do a clone variant of the "problematic file" it renders it successfully.0 -
Interesting.
Can you provide us some of the files in a support case?0 -
Yes Drew will attach it to my support case. 0 -
At this time the issue seems like it may be occurring on output. The crop being applied in the processed file is different from that which is on the file, perhaps a recipe conflict or an error reading the crop specifics on output. Maybe even related to Hardware Acceleration? It's all very strange but we're happy to continue investigating in the support case.
Andreas can you please supply us with a support case and specifics of your system so we can se the same?0 -

Already ongoing, and I got the feedback that the Customer Support rep couldn't reproduce the effect with the DNG I provided. I've sent the "include adjustments" files upon export as well as requested by CS. Again, my issue is slightly different as it only relates to the thumbnail in the Browser, the viewer appears to show the image correctly.

I stand corrected. Customer Support informs (as I realized) that my "issue" is not the same as OP. The lack of crop margins in review of rotated images without a manual crop (but an automatic crop to make the image upright is always applied) is normal. I still think that it would be more consistent and better if crop margins were shown in thumbnails for rotated images, I prefer to be able to output directly from the browser and thus would like to be able to see in the browser what the image actually looks like. The lack of crop borders for rotated (and only automatically cropped) images makes me have to guess the actual borders of the final image.

Looking into your case perhaps there is a misunderstanding. The file you provided has no crop, therefore no crop borders are present for view. What you are seeing in the browser is the effect of the rotation.0
