Saved Presets & Local Adjustments
Hi everyone
Sorry if this has already been posted but can someone help me with this?I've saved some presets and for the life of me can't work out how to use them in local adjustments?I can use the saved preset on the background layer but as soon as I create a new layer the manage and apply presets box greys out.

When you say saved presets you mean in COP terms what is called Styles.
These are applied to an image as a whole. Then you can make layers that apply specifically in that image.0 -
What i've done is created a few different curve adjustments and then saved them as user presets. Then I want to be able to go to local adjustments and mask them in where I want them and not have them applied to the whole image without have to create the curve each time manually.Where I've created them it is definitely under user presets and not styles but everytime I go to local adjustments and create a new layer I can't load my user presets. 0 -
I've seen the same: the little button that allows you to select and save presets is disabled when you are in a local adjustment layer; it's only available when on the background layer.
Is that what you're talking about? I would think that that is a bug…

Preset functionality (saving, applying) is only available on the Background layer, not on Adjustments Layers.
This is intentional although I am not sure about the rational behind it.0 -

Well, then it's time to file an enhancement request, isn't it?

Peter.
Yeah that's what I'm trying to do.Makes no sense to me that you can save all these presets but are not able to use them in local adjustments unless it's being applied to the whole background layer. 😕0
