    Hello

    Here is something to read
    http://forum.phaseone.com/viewtopic.php?t=4655

Correct all option that was available in 3.7.7 is not onboard and there is a lot of new features which was not available in 3.7.7

In other thread we have discussed all of the points you are listing.

You are hiding behind anonymity with a Yahoo address made just for this forum so I do doubt your sincerity and even more your motive.

Ulf, Yahoo email address or not, this person's arguments are still valid.

I don't think questioning this user's motives are going to win you any positive points - especially when there are plenty of us complaining about the same issues.

I offer this constructively: Any Phase One employee needs to maintain the high ground here - there are too many users upset at the "evolution" of C1's UI to tolerate any impatience or accusations by the site admins.

Not every post here is going to be constructive - some users will just need to vent their frustations. The best thing you can do is acknowledge the legitimacy of these complaints (at least when they aren't outlandish) and either let them blow off their steam or offer insight into how the company/developers feel about tweaking/changing/restoring certain features.

But don't lob attacks/accusations back at frustrated users. All that will do is alienate even more people.

I do not agree with you, in the forum rules it states that you are not allowed to use this forum to blow off steam.

    Be constructive......

We will listen and others will find the dialog positive. To simply vent will not get you anywhere.

If you want to do this, then I am sure there is other forums that will allow this.

If you can not accept the rules, do not post.
If you continuously brake the rules you will be banned.

I think we have taken the moral high ground by replying to constructive posts and not to un-constructive posts.

Phase One is the only digital back manufacturer that has a public forum. I would like to keep it this way but is hard when some, which ever motive it might be, do sabotage for others.

I'm just saying that it's bound to happen that frustrated users will end up blowing off steam here, regardless of what the forum rules say; it's just human nature. I agree that it's not ideal, but I'm just being a realist.

I do give you and the other moderators credit for not jumping in on every post; you are indeed taking the high ground and I definitely appreciate that. I just felt like your reaction to this particular post was an overly strong reaction. However, "c1pro" has since proven him/herself to be a pretty un-constructive poster. Clearly that poster is wasting our time and has somewhat destructive intentions.

I'm not sure if the "you" in your response was directed at me specifically or to anyone reading it in general, but , just in case, I'd like to point out that I have been as constructive as possible. Yes, I'm lobbing lots and lots of criticism, but I'm not just complaining - I've been working a LOT with support to offer feature requests and detailed UI ideas. If you have access to my Support history, you'll see just how much time I've spent trying to help improve this product.

Yesterday, as requested by Support, I uploaded 22MB worth of RAW files so that they could investigate the 1D MkIII issue with the Highlight Tone Priority custom function. If you were following that thread, you'll see that I even diagnosed the problem and conducted extensive tests to prove my theory.

I'm a severe critic, but I'm doing everything in my power to help Phase One evolve v4 into something I can integrate into my workflow. I've said numerous times already that I am absolutely impressed with the image quality improvements in v4. I would LOVE to embrace v4 and make it a permanent part of my workflow and I'm trying hard to convince Phase One to make the changes that I consider must-haves.

Now THAT is what I call constructive!

The feedback you have created has been very good and it will help us to provide you with a better product.

Lets leave this thread to rest.

IRT "better product": when can we expect upgrade to C1-4, implementing user feedback, to hit the website for download?

Updates are announced on phaseone.com and in newsletters not in forums.
