Engine upgr 6->7 hangs

Hi,

if I do engine upgrade from 6 to 7 in C1/7 one picture at a time (or small amount of them) then I do not have problems. If I select more pictures (i.e. 500 pictures in one folder) then C1 stops to respond ... every time!

Any idea?

  I get the same lockups at times. I found that it wasn't so much upgrading a lot of pictures at once, but rather because there was a problem within the group. One bad apple spoils the bunch (actually several bad apples in my case). My problem seems to be when I have a photo from v6 that hasn't been cropped. I found that clicking the reset crop button in v7 before doing the upgrade allows the process to work (even though it wasn't cropped to begin with).
  
  Tip: I you're unsure about wanting the v7 engine look, clone the variant first and upgrade it. The original variant will still be the v6 engine. Keep both or delete the one you don't want. As others have pointed out, the v7 engine will lighten the photo. That's okay if it's just a few photos to fix, but not if you have to rework several hundred.
