Problems processing on an Xerve
My client has been using the Capture One Pro software to process to an older server for some time now without problems.
Recently I setup an XServe and an 8 Terabyte XServe Raid formatted as RAID 50 for them to use. Unfortunately, when trying to use the Capture One software to process off the XSereve it gives the error "not enough space, please throw away 8000 gigs" or something similar. Basically telling us to clear exactly how much space is already available.
The users have full access. They can copy any and all folders pre and post processing regardless of size with no problems so I don't think it's a permission issue.
As a test, I shared the 80 gig system drive on the XServe and the users could process to that drive without problem.
So I'm thinking the problem is either the size of the drive (8 Terabytes) or the RAID flavor (level 50, which is two level 5's striped together... Apple's default for a fully loaded XServe Raid). Either way, I could fix it if I knew which it was.
Any help or insight woult be GREATLY appreciated. I've tried using the website to email PhaseOne tech support but even after providing a valid login I get an error message. Forget trying to get someone on the phone.
Thanks for your time!

spieg,
You have a valid Profile so you should have no problem whatsoever with creating a Support Case.

This is likely Permissions related and we've seen this error when attempting to write/process to External Hard Drives.
The answer for these are to format OS Extended (w Journals is Ok) and
set to Ignore Permissions in Disk Utility.
Double check how the 2 servers are set-up. My guess is that there is a difference between the one that works and the new one.

It is not possible to set the sharepoint to "ignore permissions", you can only do that with a local drive.
I have tried logging into the server as the admin, upping the access privileges of the users, propogating permissions down the share, etc to no avail.
The 80 gig drive I shared is on the SAME server, the only difference is the size and format (RAID 50) of the drive.
Any ideas?0
