Long process times in Capture One v.4.63

I'm using an intel Mac Book Pro 2.33GHZ with 2GB Ram and I'm finding the process times in the new version of Capture One much longer than in 3.7. For instance a Raw file from my P25+ back takes about 20-30seconds to process into a 500k jpg. The same file opened in 3.7 takes about 5 seconds. I know it's only 15-20 seconds difference but with 1200 files it adds up. I am surprised the new version takes longer to do the same job.

  What dimensions are you processing to? If you keep the long side around 1600 px or less, even with JPEG 100 quality it should be quite fast. I am using a very similar machine (MBP 2.33, 3gb Ram) and it does a P45 file in about 5 second (jpeg 100, 1600x1200px). At 2000 pixels on the long side it will be much slower. If you use web contact sheet to create the jpegs it will be quite a bit faster still.

  the long side is 1966. They end up at 1966x1310Px I'm processing them as jpegs quality at 48%, scale at 35%, no thumbnails. Not tried the web contact sheet, will that save the jpegs in the same way? I'll try it now.
