    It certainly wouldn't hurt 😉

well...so what will C1 need: 10GB or better 1TB for an accepable performance?

Release notes state 4gigs is minimum, 8 gigs or better recommended. This is not the only parameter that affects performance, your CPU, GPU (and be sure and constantly update the GPU driver), and HD speed all impact performance...and thats using local disks. Speed across a network (or an external drive) is limited by that connection as well because COne reads/writes to the image file.

So the simple answer is yes, 8 gigs of RAM will make a 64 bit OS much improved for COne. More might be better, but not as noticable.

Also good is to set your workflow up to use your resources efficiently...delete the trash folder contents as you feel safe doing so, turn OFF disk indexing in Windows for the drives containing image files, as well as constant defrag (you can set that to run when you're not using the computer.)

All the above apply as well to other image editing programs like PShop that are resource hungry....
