Upgrading from v6 engine to v9 engine

Rather than upgrade each image, individually, in my browser to v9 engine, I decided to apply the change to all images at once. Now, there is an annoying white border surrounding every thumbnail. I don't mind a border around the active thumbnail, but having them around every image is distracting. Any work-arounds?

    Are you sure that they aren't all still selected? Try deselect all from the file menu.

    Edited to say - sorry - from the Edit menu, not the file menu.

    You are exactly right: they were still selected. The borders are gone, everything is
    running on engine v9, and I'm a happy camper.
