Upgrade from Capture One 8 Pro

Hi folks, I switched from Lightroom to Capture One 8 Pro barely 3 months ago, and paid good 200+ euro for it. Now with the new 9 pro, I'll need another 90 for the upgrade. Any chance there's some discount for new comers? 😭

  I just bought the 8 pro last month ( Nov.) but now the new version is released.

  I'm in the same boat. I bought Capture One 8 Pro at the end of October and feel just a little peeved at the thought of having to fork out another 99 Euros. Does the arrival of Capture One 9 Pro mean that Capture One 8 Pro will no longer receive software updates etc?
  
  I've also just bought a Canon G5X, the raw format of which is not currently supported by C1 8 Pro. Am I right in suspecting that, with the arrival of C1 9 Pro, the C1 8 Pro library of supported cameras wil no longer accommodate new models, such as the G5X?

  Thanks SFA! Had some good luck with tech support. Folks, if you've owned your copy of 8 pro for just a couple of months, probably you may consider writing to the tech support.
