    No. It's designed like that. There have been discussions about this before and many users prefer seeing the crop mask. If you think it is a serious obstacle to a smooth workflow, you could put in a feature request via a support case and ask for it to be an option to switch this behaviour on and off.

    I would also like to get rid of that crop area in the browser. One way to fake it is to adjust the crop preference opacity and brightness so that the cropped area has the same background as the browser. That will at least get rig of this too busy look in the browser.

    Unfortunately, it makes the cropping less useful; I always like to have a bit of context when cropping which you don't get with the adjusted opacity and brightness.
