Nvidia GTX 1080 GPU cards
Hello internal Phase techs,
Will the Nvidia GTX 1080 8GB card in a Windows 10 environment work with C1 V10? My system has 2 of those cards on board.
Thanks!

Yep, they should work without issues. 0 -
Thanks, Christian.
Will C1 make use of multiple graphics cards?
In other words, will 2 x GTX 1080 provide a boost over 1 x GTX 1080?
Is there any way to find out whether a particular card will be used by C1?
My Intel(R) HD Graphics 4600 / AMD Radeon HD 8790M combination does not pass the "focus mask" litmus test you shared in another post. However, "GPU Caps Viewer 1.32.0.1" tells me that my system supports OPEN CL 1.2 (AMD-APP (1573.4 FULL_PROFILE), so I'm not sure why C1 cannot make use of the Radeon.
As I posted elsewhere I'm looking into buying/building a C1-dedicated PC and don't want to use components that C1 won't be able to use.0 -
It will use all available, supported graphics cards.
It sounds odd that none of the 4600 / HD 8790M cards are used. Please contact our Support, and have them take a look.0 -

Thanks, that's very good to know.[quote="Christian Gruner" wrote:

All I can say is that your "focus mask should disappear during adjustments" test fails while "GPU Caps Viewer 1.32.0.1" reports "OPEN CL 1.2" support.
I had created a support case on 23/12 in which I asked "Could you please let me know if my hybrid system should be supported (as it supports OpenCL 1.2)?" but that question was not answered and the case was immediately closed as "Problem solved". I had also asked for a hardware suggestion in case my configuration will never be supported and that question was answered in principle (by pointing to the minimal system requirements and the information that no official recommendations will be made) and another, secondary question that I had mentioned as a "BTW", was answered as well. Yet my main question remained unanswered.
I'd like to emphasise that I highly value that Phase One is listening through the support case system and that in the majority of cases my experience has been excellent.
Only now and then, I feel I have to work harder than I should, probably due to the responses coming from different people whose role appears to be to shield the actually technically involved developers from irrelevant requests. I understand the need for that, but sometimes it means that I'm not being properly heard on the first or second attempt.
However, again, overall I'm very grateful for the support case system!
I may try another support case again for the same issue, but to be honest, I don't have high hopes of my configuration being catered to (I'm pretty sure I explored everything I can do at my end already), hence the creation of my hardware recommendations thread with a view to build or buy a system that will work, as opposed to making the case for supporting a probably not very common combination (running under the increasingly less common Win7).0 -

When this happens I think you may find the next point release is expected to fix the problem.
BTW "Problem Solved" as an internal status of a Case is really for internal use rather than a communication to Case creator in situations like that.
I may seem odd but is likely simply to be a limitation of the way the system in use can be configured compared to the time required for administration of cases.
That said it seems to be something that often causes confusion or frustration so a clear and readily available statement (somewhere useful and visible) of what the status possibilities mean might be beneficial to everyone.
