Import window vanished
Hi,
I am new to Capture One Pro - just moved in after many years so Aperture, so am learning the program.
First off I had created a Catalog and on import (of an Aperture Library) told the importer window to keep the source images inside the new Catalog, ( managed catalog). I now have a new C1P ver.9.02 catalog, but the originals were kept inside the source Aperture library and had not moved.
Thinking perhaps I made a mistake, I created a new Catalog to start the process anew. Now however I no longer get the importer window at all - the C1P window determing the path to the source images, the destination folder, the image naming scheme , etc. All I get when importing an Aperture Library , is a Mac system window requesting a path to locate and open the source library and then C1P automatically imports the content of that Aperture Library - leaving the originals put . How do I get my "choices" window back - Managed ,referenced , etc'.
I did verify the Catalog and it checked OK.
thanks,

Perhaps I was double wrong..
Seems that the import dialogue window I mentioned above, comes up only when you import images (not libraries) and helps you make choices on how to route those images.
When importing an Aperture library, it only goes the referenced way. No option for managed. You could later manually move the images from within the Aperture Library to the C1P Catalog - thus creating a managed Library.
Am I correct ?

If that is the case and the originals remain within Aperture, will I still have access if Aperture will no longer function in future OS upgrades. I imagine this is a major concern to many, and likely was discussed here, but I could not find a thread dealing with this issue.0
