    Hello,

I also have the same question about being able to import metadata from Excel or CSV files. Can this be done, or does it require a script to be written to do the field matching?

To be clear, I have a bunch of photo information in a spreadsheet that I want to import and match to images imported into Media Pro. Abstractly, this would involve doing a field match so that every column in the spreadsheet is 'linked' to a field in Media Pro, so that when you do the import, each photo listed in the spreadsheet that also has a corresponding image in media Pro will be given the data from each record in a corresponding annotation field.

I would greatly appreciate knowing if this is something that can be done in Media Pro, or if not, if it is something that one can write script to do. If a script is the only way, do you know of anyone who has written a script to import metadata to annotations from a CSV or XLS file?

Perhaps you could try Exiftool? I believe it can read data from cvs files and write it to xmp sidecar files.
