    Yann:

    1. Applying copyright metadata after import: yes, go to metadata tab, insert your copyright info, save as a user preset, apply to as many images as you'd like;

2.Changing date and time: cannot do in C1 8.1 as far as I know; and

    3. Apply styles across selections: yes, go to pre-sets and styles tab, save as style (checking off the boxes as to which elements you want to use to create your "style", apply like other adjustments.

    Hope that helps, Yann.

Ok, thank you very much. Finally it is like Aperture, we need to use the menu to apply style on any pictures (the tools on the left can't do it).

The date and time ajustement could be a good improvement for C1 for photographers who cover the same event and need to have exactly pictures in chronological order.

Hello, I start use C1 in production after migration from Aperture and have some requests.

    Some little thing i don't find :
    - Any way to apply massively metadata IPTC ? I use this function to apply my copyright on entire catalog (after import).
    - Any way to change Date and time ? With Aperture we can do this in catalog or ajust date and time in originals files. I use it to synchronise pictures date and time when work with other photographer.
    - Any way to apply massively styles ? For exemple i know the Kelvin temperature of my flash and with Aperture i apply my preset to all studio pictures.

    Best regards

    Yann,

    1. You could apply Copyright during import and save time.

After import you can copy from one image, using the Clip Board or directly and apply to many others. All of them if that is what you wish.

For some of the more commonly used IPTC data you can show the entries in the Filters tool in the Libraries Tab and simply drag your image or images to the value you require.

    2. No.

If you want to suggest a solution that does not include making any changes at all to the original file I am sure the developers would be interested.

    3. You can apply Pre-sets and Styles to one or multiple images at any time including during import.

You can copy and apply all the changes for an image to one or many other images.

From within a tool you can copy and apply the changes set in the tool to one or more other images.

You can control whether all available changes or only selected changes are applied using the Clip Board functionality.

Why is this? Other tools out there allow user to adjust/edit the file date and time, and it is key to searching/organizing photos by date when the file date or Exif metadata does not reflect the actual date the image was created. This can happen due to a variety of reasons, so having ability to change that is important to many of us.

Sure I can use an external tool to do the job, but why? It seems it would be a simple feature to add.

So what workarounds do people have for changing date and time? I assume this is a big issue for anyone that travels. I always understood that it was a best practice to set your camera to use your home time and timezone and when you travel to a new timezone simply to leave it be and then adjust it after the fact in your DAM. The virtue of this is that you don't have to worry about constantly changing the date and time on your camera and it's easy to be consistent this way. How do you guys handle this?
