WB adjustment before or after LCC ?
Hi,
I am shooting a TC wide angle with a PO DB, obviously due to the extra wide angle on the TC I have Lens fall-off and Lens Color cast.
During the shoot I use the white plexglas (PO) to make my reference LCC picture, followed with the actual shots (in the same condition). If I move on to a new framing/change I repeat the LCC shot.
In Post Processing, I use the LCC picture to create the LCC and then apply it to follow on pictures untill the next LCC shot.
I am a bit puzzled when I should do the WB adjustment ?
1. Do I adjust the WB on the picture (white plastic plate) before I activate the LCC on it ? And I also apply the WB to the actual shots ?
OR...
2. Do I disregards the WB, and I create the LCC first from the white plastic plate and then apply it to the follow on pictures, and when all completed I WB adjusted the final pictures ?
=> It is my gut feeling to correct it first (WB) even on the white plastic plate shot as that will provide the right colorcast colors to be show. And then create the LCC to that shot and apply it to the other pictures .

I looked into this matter not so long ago. Conclusion was that the LCC analysis is not affected by the WB setting. So your option 2 applies. 0 -
