It looks like I lost all my rebuilds of psd files (using the WIC) and of a lot of the processed jpegs.

I may have to rebuild everything in order to get a decent sized media view.

Edit - It looks like I lost most of the tiff and psd rebuilds, but not all. I can't find a pattern.
Likewise, most of the portrait shots need to be re-rotated.
Likewise, the jpeg situation is inconsistent so far.

    Strange.

    OOPS

    1st crash.

DO NOT Interrupt MP when it is doing a save (or probably anything else) and the progress bar is running.

I asked it to save the new catalog, but made the mistake of checking one of the newly rebuilt jpg images to look at the media view.

    Down she went.

I feel like a beta tester.

After rebuilding all the jpgs and saving the resulting catalog under a new name, I reopened the new catalog this am.
The new catalog was huge, and took a long time to relaod.

    UGH.
All the folder names were compromised and truncated, and the raw files all took a while to show the media view.

I went back to the other catalog (pre jpg rebuild) and will try more later.

Word of warning - when you try a new catalog, save as, don't save over a working one just yet,

As I continue to beta test this new version, I am finding a couple of things.
    General observations.
** Any old cataloged photo which hasn't been processed by a new version of CO needs to be rebuilt (based on random looks at the media view).

**The save function needs to be checked; esp after rebuilding a lot of files.
After a rebuild of ~4000 raw files (not all) and when I "saved as" new file name, the result was a locked file.
This also happened to me yesterday.
I could reopen it as read only, and then resave it again, and all my changes were there.

If I then rebuilt a few files (50) the save worked fine.

** Files which have been processed with CO 6 seem not to need a rebuild.

** Bottom line - the new version looks just fine with new files and files that have seen CO 6, but working with old catalogs may be painful.

Now it looks like any photos that started in Expression Media, and were rebuilt when I changed to MP1.0 need to be rebuilt again.

I'm doing them in small batches, as the "save" function seems flakey for very large changes.
