Naming using tokens
Hi,
Comming from a LR background I found it really useful to be able to precisely auto-name my images. I have a system which includes the date, counter and, importantly, a number made up from the capture time. This is to make sure that, even if I shoot with two cameras on the same day, the filenames will be unique. Just starting to use Capture One and have seen the Token method of constructing a filename, but I can't quite get what I want. I can seem to modify the existing tokens and there isn't one with seconds (only hours & minutes). Not sure if I'm missing something, but is there a way to gain that extra flexibility with CO?
Many thanks,
Dayve

You might want to use the token "Image Time (HH-mm-ss)". Note that token "Image Time" has three formats. Click on the small triangle and select the right format before you insert it in the Format field. 0 -
Hi Paul,
I'd like to have my files named to this format YYYYMMDD_HHMMSS_text-string.
With CaptureOne v.8.1.1 I can get that by using 3 tokens "Image Year" "Image Month" "Image Day of Month" for the first part of the name, but not for the Image Time. The possibilities provided by the software so far always use a "hyphen" between variables. Thanks for your help.

Hi Sander,
I am afraid a HHMMSS token without hyphens is not available. Sigh...
No matter how much choice, there is always more to be desired. 🤭0
