The standard keys for brush size are '[' and ']', without <alt>. Have a look at menu - 'Help' - 'Keyboard Shortcut Summary', at the bottom of the list.

Thank you so much Hans 😊 ... but ... I'm feeling stupid: keys [ and ] doesn't exist on my keyboard, which keys I've to press to change the brush size?
    Many thanks

janbak, what language is your keyboard? I had the same problem with my german keyboard and solved it by changing the shortcut to "," and "." for size and "shift" + "," and "shift" + "." for hardness.

should have told me you are on a different keyboard language. So I would like to know which one, too.

I am sure the '[' and ']' are there, just not written out on the keys. Every programmer needs them. On a french keyboard ( just guessing, based on the 'é' ), '[' and ']' should be on <Shift> + <Alt> + '5' and <Shift> + <Alt> + '°', I think. ( With <Shift> + '5' and <Shift> + '°' being '(' and ')'. ) But I am not sure they will work. Keyboard layouts can be tricky in shortcuts.

The best way is to follow the advice Johannes gave you and define your own keys from main menu - 'Capture One 9' - 'Edit Keyboard Shortcuts'.

    Hans

I just checked it setting my keyboard to Italian. You are right, it doesn't work. Reason is that the <Alt> key is used by CO to toggle brush behavior. You will need to redefine your keyboard shortcut to something without <Alt> here. Just go main menu - 'Capture One 9' - 'Edit Keyboard Shortcuts'.
