Session Albums not updating

I've been having this problem for a while, it was fixed on a random version of 7 but is back again with 8.
Session Albums don't collect all of the files they should. I have 400 5 stars and it shows 19. Restart C1 and it works fine.

reinstalled, flushed the prefs via terminal etc. created a support case and was told to click off the album and back on, that obviously wasn't the answer. Anyone else have a fix?

  For the record, you are referring to Smart Albums in a session, in contrast to Albums.
  
  Are the 5-star rated images in the default session folders (like Capture, Select) or do you have additional folders. You made these additional folders a session favorite?
  
  You could do some maintenance on your session db file. Go to File menu, Verify.
  
  Does a new session works better? Do you use a single session for a longer period or do you make new sessions all the time?

  I am using the default Smart Album that is created upon using a new session.
  I have a template setup to create the following subfolders in my session 00PRELIGHT, 00010_RAW, 00020_RAW, etc... these are automatically added to favorites.
  
  As we shoot and tag things 5 star, the images do not appear.
  
  Looking into this a bit more it seems the issue might be caused by there being empty folders in my favorites.
  
  I will try a Verify on my session and see if that could repopulate those Smart Albums.
