Capture Naming Autofill Question

Has anyone else noticed that the "Capture Name" that you enter in the dialog box upon starting a new session no longer autofills into the Name field of the Next Capture Naming section of the Capture pane?

Am I missing something? Did a default pref change?

Just looking for some corroboration so i know that i'm not crazy. 😕

    So why does it exist? I'm going to add to more complaints to the naming feature.

    I like all the new naming options but why can't I save my preset as the default like it did in C1 3.79? You have to pick your saved preset every time you make a session.

    Also, we use two cameras on almost every shot, one tethered and to cf cards. In 3.79, the session name would be applied whether tethered or not. Now, cards imported to the session default to the name from the previous time the importer was was used even if a different session. My client needs images names that resemble my cars VIN # so I have to copy the name from the session before I plug the card in, paste it in, note the number of frames in the capture folder, set the frame counter to be consecutive, then import. The is a GIANT step back from 3.79. We went from one click to multiple notes and copy/pasteings.

    The autofill has been fixed, but what about setting the default numbering? It is a workflow pain to have to reset it EVERY time. It is even worse if you forget and have to batch rename a bunch of images.

    Yes, why can we have this set in CO Preferences, like in 3.7.8. It was that simple...
    Everyone has a specific workflow, why have to reset it over and over?
