I don't know how it became this nonsensical thing and can't figure out how to change it.

You set this in your Phase One profile, when you create said profile, under the Forum User Name. If you neglect to populate this field you become "No Name Number 634411935216714608".

    One more mystery solved 😄

Drew, you might want to make this a sticky on the CO forum too, I guess there are more users who are/were puzzled by this 😂

    is that the license code?
If yes, this a real flaw! What about security?

No, it's not my license code fortunately.

Of course not, what would give you that idea?
It's too long to be a License Code, the wrong format and as explained above, just a designation to ensure one nameless account does not have the same I.D as another nameless account.

So, there's no way to change this?

Please change this in your Phase One Profile, there is an "Edit" option.

No wonder I was having trouble. I was trying to find a place to change the name in my profile in the forum's user control panel, where there is no such field. I had to go to www.phaseone.com to do it. All set now.

hey I just was kidding about that - I am to deeply involved into IT-secury to ever really assume that!

There are existing other software manufacturers from which I I would assume that , bit for sure, never ever seriously thinking that POne would behave like that!
Despite of some flaws in software that are discussed here in this forum - I really appreciate POne's openness to freely discuss problems with software here and even if some posts might look like rants - mine included - this is nothing to joke about!
I have never been disappointed regarding POne's customer care and POne'ss prompt response to customer issues.
I spent a lot of years in 2nd and 3rd level customer support with "prime software manufacturers" and would have liked to be able to discuss issues and incidents in that friendly and honorable manner as it is possible here, even if bugs are discussed!
Kudos to all of the supporters and staff from POne, allowing customers to post their issues and always receiving friendly, competent, and problem oriented answers, even if both sides might be on the wrong track!
