I was successful a year or so ago.
However recently I tried to upload some MP catalogs without success.
I think I got an error with one browser, but I was told on another (IE?) that it was successful, but PO said that it never was uploaded.
    I eventually gave up.

Capture One support told me they get uploads all the time but I have yet to find anyone who has done so. I offered to send them a DVD with files but they did not even have the courtesy of replying to me.

    Glenn,
We've had dozens of uploads today alone. The errors you listed suggest a back Cache or Cookie so the advice to Clear/Reset the Browser is correct.
If you continue to have the issue I'd maybe check with your ISP to see if there is any restrictions?

I can only confirm that our end is working just fine, web interface and server.

    Firefox replied as follows:
"Any client (e.g. your Web browser or our CheckUpDown robot) goes through the following cycle when it communicates with the Web server:
Obtain an IP address from the IP name of the site (the site URL without the leading 'http://'). This lookup (conversion of IP name to IP address) is provided by domain name servers (DNSs). - Open an IP socket connection to that IP address. - Write an HTTP data stream through that socket. - Receive an HTTP data stream back from the Web server in response. This data stream contains status codes whose values are determined by the HTTP protocol. Parse this data stream for status codes and other useful information.
This error occurs in the final step above when the client receives an HTTP status code that it recognises as '302'.

The 302 response from the Web server should always include an alternative URL to which redirection should occur. If it does, a Web browser will immediately retry the alternative URL. So you never actually see a 302 error in a Web browser, unless perhaps you have a corrupt redirection chain e.g. URL A redirects to URL B which in turn redirects back to URL A. If your client is not a Web browser, it should behave in the same way as a Web browser i.e. immediately retry the alternative URL.
If the Web server does not return an alternative URL with the 302 response, then either the Web server software itself is defective or the Webmaster has not set up the URL redirection correctly."

I checked with my ISP and they said they do not engage in any redirects. That leaves the cache which I clear every time I attempt to upload a RAW file. I would very much like to correct this problem but I don't know what else I can do.You mentioned Cookies, Could you give me a little more detail about what Cookies could be causing the problem? I have made a MOV movie showing the problem I'm having and would like to burn it to a DVD and sent it along with some sample RAW files.

Well I tried to upload a file on three different computers, two Win 7 64bit and one Win 7 32bit using either Firefox or Chrome with all history, cache, cookies and everything cleared. All three failed. Firefox gave me a HTTP 302 and then Server Error 500. Chrome was much faster, it went directly to Server Error 500. The 32 bit machine appeared to be successful. After the upload I was asked to log in again but after logging in I was presented with a Server Error 500. I'm not a complete idiot on computers as I have over 30 experience on DOS and Windows machines at work and at home although I admit I not up on web connection procedures. The search data I've read seems to point to server error although Drew says there is no problem and everything is working just fine. That leaves me wondering why can't I upload the a file?

PO is mostly a Mac house I think. I wonder if all the successful uploads come from Macs?

Yes Jim I had that same thought and downloaded and installed Apple's Safari but it failed with an HTTP 302 error.

BUT I then downloaded and installed the Opera browser and to my surprise it was successful in uploading my text and RAW image.

So I hope this will be helpful to others that might have this problem. Now I'll have to wait and see if Capture One support will respond to the upload.

    Great news. But strange.
