Is it me or is this forum dead

Well what i mean is that there are a few members who regularly respond but being really new to C1 LE and seriously considering PRO I am a little worried when i see all but a couple of threads on the forum page last updated in 2006 some in 2005.

Has Phase ONe stopped looking, feature requests beta tester, sales comments all seemed to have dried up.

Perhaps I am on an older forum. I appreciate a couple of the comments and feedback I have had so far from some questions but looking to go to a PRO solution I am not encouraged by the resources and followings.

Perhaps I am assuming C! PRO users have time to look at forums ? 😊

Perhaps C1 users are the real photographers and Lightroom and Aperture users are the tinkerers of the photgraphic world, the prosumer category as they call it.

Any comments, direction, peace of mind ?

    All I can offer is... this is a User To User Forum so its activity is directly related to customer participation.
    If you look back to when it started around November 2004, it has had a significant number of participants and thread topics.
    It has become a valuable, searchable database on a variety of topics.
    What is encouraging about this Forum is that participants are more than willing to help a fellow photographer.

    The Forum recently closed in early December 2006 due to rampant spamming posts.
    It is now secured and You began participating just as it reopened 1st week of February.
    I believe the closing took some 'wind out of the sails' here, but also the Holidays seems to be somewhat of a down time for studios.
    It has only been reopened a matter of weeks and I suspect it will gain momentum yet again.
    It truly is a valuable resource for many Phase One customers.

    As for PRO Vs. LE, this has been discussed here before and you can find these threads. There is also a Feature Comparison chart at the web site.

    I can kinda see what you mean as you are so far the only one to respond to my post about color problems 2 days ago. Do you have any other advice for me because it seems to be taking a while for phase one or fellow users to respond?

    I don't know about photography in the UK but this is definately the SLOW season in the United Stated. I think that a little further in the Spring this forum will be blossoming (he-he). Don't worry, I am sure that there will always be both problems and solutions.... I hope for my own color problems sake.

    I only found out by accident that the forum had re-opened (they have been closed for almost 2 months).

    Has there been a "the forums are open again" e-mail for registered users? If not, then many users probably don't realise the forums are back online.

    thanks for you quick repsonses I am glad things will get better and I look forward to PhaseONE mailing out a great suggestion I hope they listen.

    Back on the colour thread i dont know C1 well enough but are you sure you did not do a global edit on a folder of images and forgot to set it back in profiles ?

    The photoshop side of thins has 2 areas for colour set up, and then your can choose another on the MAc so 3 places for things to go wrong.

    Also C1 does not appear to grab the WB number from my D2X, i saw something from years back that said it did not, make sure C1 is not converting to another profiles becasue it does not recognise your camera RAW totally ??

    Other than that I am all dired up Mellisa, hope you get it sorted and let us now in a spearate thread.

    thank you for a phase one response. I understand the down time issue, i know it can kill a website in a matter of days, I was not aware of the spam issues as you stated.

    I look forward to things kicking off and certainly I will be attending your stand at FOCUS to see V4 in all its beta glory.
