Can't Open 2 Sessions at Same Time?
I'm still new to Version 9. But, I've used 6 & 7 for years. My workflow is a bit of a pain in the ass to begin with, but now it seems I can't have two session windows open at the same time. This complicates things further.
I have my clients live proof. In v6, I would be tethered to my Mac via Firewire or USB and get RAW files instantly.
At some point, I went to wireless. I use a Canon 5D with two memory slots. One card is wifi. (Yay, no more cords to trip over!) But to make the transfer faster, I send the wifi as medium jpegs. Afterwards, I create a session for the job and import all the RAW files from the CF card.
Now, I have to rate and rename the RAW files to match the jpeg selects. So, I need both session windows open at the same time. But in v9, when I open a new session, it closes the other. Is there some way to get around this?

Preferences -> General -> Catalog and Session -> Open in new window checked
That should be the option for multiple sessions0 -
