Workflow when processing RAW files
Hi there,
I am still not that much familiar with C1 but I like all the possibilities the software seems to offer me. However it is not that intuitive to me as it could I guess it has to do with its apple heritage.
Now I wonder if someone out there may give me some advice how to make my work faster:
1. I pull the raw files into the following folder structure: one folder is supposed to take the latter jpgs and a subfolder to that is going to hold the raw files. So far I am using a different software to pull the pictures from the camera.
2. OnceI have done that I start to work on the raw files, delete some, adjust them etc..
I then rename the raws, one frequent mistake: the picture counter is not set to zero, so I have to do the renaming once again. Is there an option to set that to zero everytime after I have used the batch rename?
3. Is there a way to have the output folder for jpgs set automatically to one folder level above where the raws are? that would save me a lot of trouble, as I frequently forget to change the output folder manually
4. Is there a way to move the folders with 1 from my computer to a NAS in my network? So far I do this by hand and than I tell C1 where the files are now not to lose those pictures in the database, kind of complicated and prone to mistakes, I guess in 50% of the cases I f*ck it up somehow so the files are lost for the database
Any help will be very much appreciated

2. In the menu there is an entry Edit>Counters>Reset Output Counter, maybe this helps?
3. In the "Output location" tool set the "sub folder" and use the token "Image Folder Name" followed by "\.." (all without the quotes):
Image Folder Name\..
4. You can either move a folder using the Windows Explorer and after that use "locate" in the library tool for that folder, or you create a folder with Explorer and drag (move) the raw images from the brower to the folder in the library tool. I did both in the past but I have quite a few folders where one of the methods failed (probably "locate", i.e. sub folders vanished from the library tool so I had to add them manually there. I decided to keep my images on the computer (disk space is getting cheaper and cheaper), which also seems to help with performance if I want to see "All images" in the browser.0
