optimiise my cache
Hello all,
I am currently trying to get my new computer configured for my workflow, in doing so I'd like to know if I can put C1's cache on a separate drive from their raw files?
I've been hearing allot about the traps that Adobe lightroom usesrs can place their cache on a separate drive to increase the programs performance.
If possible I'd like to be able to place C1's cache on a small ssd to increase it's performance, not that it's that slow a present, but maybe I can squeeze some more from it.
Can it be done?
Cheers
Jim

No, cache file location is fixed to the image folder. What you can do however, in terms of performance, is experimenting with the preview size in Capture One's preferences. Baseline is that you set the size to what you need for preview on your monitor. 0 -
Thanks for your reply Paul.
Ah, so the cache is fixed and cannot be moved or pointed in another direction.
Thanks, I'll try the preview size.
