Renaming Difficutlies

When I rename a file in Capture One Pro, occassionally the thumbnail will become a previous image. This seems to occur when I am using a name that was previous assigned, and then changes. For example: I am shooting sequentially and naming files automatically via Nikon Capture Control. Shot 100 is no good, so I delete it and reshoot it but Capture One Pro wants to keep the orginal shot 100 as the thumbnail, and the new image,when I rename it 100, diappears and the original shot 100 thumbnail reappears. If I quit and restart, it corrects the problem. But it is very annoying. Any suggestions?

    Try doing the same thing again but when deleting the first image you also empty trash so the first image is permanently deleted.
