Blurry thumbnails useless and frustrating!

    Anthony,

    Hmm.

Now you have described your intended use I suspect that nothing currently available in C1 sets out to address such a need.

At its core it is a RAW file conversion program and not really a Layout comparator and manager in any way.

The requirement might make an interesting feature request.

Trying to base your need on the Browser functionality seems, to me at least, likely to disappoint in more ways than just any sharpness challenges resulting from stretching the Thumbnails to a screen display size at the limits of their useful resolution. I think whatever the developers might offer to slightly extend things in that area would simply be digging a bigger hole that would eventually need to be filled by a proper function.

Whether that is within the scope of C1's plans we may not know. If it was something I wanted and needed now I would be looking for an existing application that addressed the requirement and then working out if and how I could incorporate it at the end of my C1 workflow.

If anyone else has a way to achieve what you want I hope they join in and tell us.

Although I don't personally see a need for my requirements it's always interesting to hear about how others do things.

    Thanks for your reply SFA.

It's in C1's best interest to make sure you start your culling with the program and especially use the same program for your final stages. Neither C1 nor the photographers want to resort to multiple programs to get the work done.

People aren't asking for PS-like capabilities but a program that does what it does well. So if you're gonna have the option to increase the Thumbnail sizes, then they should be of decent quality. If Lightroom can do a better job in that department, surely C1 has an incentive to make that work.

    Cheers
