Working with negatives in Capture 4
Hi,
I am currently undertaking a piece of work to recreate Glass Plate Negatives in a digital format. Capturing the negatives is fairly easy using the p45+ with capture 4. I was wondering if phase one at any point was thinking of or going to add some form of invert into the capture 4 software, so we can turn a negative into a positive within the software, before processing it off. This would allow us to see what the image would look like without having to go through a long drawn out process of "guess work" then inverting using photoshop and making any adjustments at that point.
If there was an invert in capture 4, it would greatly increase throughput for work of this kind, and would reduce the need to use both pieces of software to generate the end product.

Since this is a FTP link it might require that you use a FTP program such as CyberDuck (FreeWare) if on Mac, on Windows it should not be a probelm
Download this style and put it in to:
Windows
C:/Program Files/Phase One/Capture One 4/Styles
Mac
~/Library/Application Support/Capture One/Styles
After restart of the software it should show up as an option in the styles menu.0 -
Hi Ulf,
I was wondering if you could possibly update this link, i have replaced a few pc's and wish to add this style again. problem is when i click the link, it say "web page cannot be displayed". Could you help plz

Unfortunately no (more?) styles there, (i have the same problem with negatives)
Btw. exists somewhere alternative styles source/exchange?
