Second monitor

😎 Just installed CO and wish to use my second monitor, I am unable to get this function to work as per page 39 user manual? when I select Windows>Wiewer all I get in the pull down menue is Event log and activities?

Any suggestions Please

    You need CaptureOne Pro activated - I believe it is only available in Pro version.

    I upgraded from V4.1 to Capture one 5.0.2 Build 34838; includes 5.0.2 pro and 5.0.2 DB

    Trevor,
    If you own a PRO key then activate it with the PRO key. If you do not own a PRO key the software is likely activated in the Regular Mode which does not have the feature you are looking for.

    I have a activation key for this version but it says that I have just one activation left with this key? What happens if this fails and I run out of activations? I do not want to pay again

    Trevor,
    Log into you your Phase One Profile and check out the "License Activation" tool. As you own the key you have complete control over it's activation. Using up activations is not possible, just reset the activations and the two machines currently running will be deactivated and the Key will be freed up.

    I have de-activated both versions as per your last reply, and then I carried out the following routine

    After de-activating Version 1.4 and V5 I then un-installed both versions of CO from my laptop and then downloaded Capture one 5.0.2 (windows vista) that includes V5.0.2 Pro “I HOPE

    Carried out the installation with no problems

    Put in my activation key as per Capture One Licence web page “Valid for: Capture one 5â€.................
    Program boots up but I have still have the same problem; certain functions not working as before for; example no second monitor again

    If I run this same downloaded file as a trial version on my second computer “Windows XP†I get all the function that I was hoping and assumed I paid for?

    Am I doing something wrong or what?

    Is there any way that somebody could checking my licence key details

    I don't want to disappoint but I looked into your Product Key's and it appears that you do not own a PRO Product Key.
    As previously pointed out the features are PRO features and necessitate a PRO Key.

    O Boy; My mistake
    Just gone back to basics, my installation CO disc says 4.1 Not 4 pro? Sod it; for some reason I thought it was; PRO

    I can’t really afford the extra cash now; is there any possibility for a rebate I will have to carry on with 4.1 until I can afford 5 Pro

    The CO5 download is a single download which contains all versions (whether Pro, regular or DataBack). It is the license key that determines whether it runs as Pro or regular.

    When you run in trial mode (30 days) you can choose if you want to run regular or Pro each time you start the program till the end of the trial period. This way you can determine whether the extra features of Pro are worth the extra cost.

    It sounds that you run a trial in Pro mode on one computer and have activated CO5 on the second computer with your non-Pro key, hence running in regular mode, hence no second monitor support.

    I hope this explains it, despite potential disappointment due to other expectations.
