Capture One will be released in a 3.7.8 which is compatible with 10.5
Capture One 4 had its release not that long ago and is already compatible with 10.5

WHEN CAN WE EXPECT THIS RELEASE?? (3.7.8.)
While I appreciate that Capture One 4 (beta) has already had a release, it is still a buggy beta version without the same workflow as the Pro version that also costs a considerable amount more. Come on Phase One. It would be helpful if you gave a time for this release. November? December? March? 2009?
I can tell you MY status : At this time the software isn't compatible with my (and many others') operating system, and the support is flippant and not forthcoming.
I am considering using alternative software that DOES work with Mac Os 10.5 Leopard, and scrapping Capture one Products.
Why can't you reveal a date?

    Hello,

Not trying to be flippant or secretive. To put it simply, the software will be released soon. I say soon because it needs to first pass testing, if it does not pass testing then it will need to be revised and retested. Therefore, while it may be scheduled for one week, it may fail testing and be pushed to the following week or two so that appropriate fixes can be made. It would be irresponsible of us to publish a target release date and not have that date met.

Not being a smart alec at all, but can anyone recommend a good substitue App while I wait for Capture One?
Also know, I am a Capture One Pro owner, but have switched to Mac this last week. And I REALLY need something to do raw conversion beside CS3.

    Terrific, I got it installed!
    Now a dumb question...
How to I add to batch?
Also, my exposure warnings do nothing in the Mac version. How do I set them to work like they did in Windows?

Highlight warnings you can find in Preferences - Exposure

Thanks, but none of those address my question.
How do you add to batch without processing immediately?
I did it with the windows version by clicking add to batch. I could then click to process the whole batch.
Also, the Exposure warning turns off automatically. How do I keep it on by default?
In addition, how come my image is not in focus when I enlarge it?
It's only in focus when I fit to screen!

    Hello

    Some answers for you! 😊

    1. Go to Batch Queue and uncheck "Enable Batch Queue"
    2. The Mac version does not store this setting. By default it is off on launch.
    3. "Preview Enhancement" which is what you refer to is not available on the Mac version. It will however be available in Capture One 4.0
For now you will have to use the Focus tool which is un-dockable and scaleable.

OK, I have unchecked Batch Queue, and i still cannot see how to add images to a Batch.

I am getting random black bands in batch processing. One image was completely black. I am glad it is not just me. I hope this gets fixed soon. as I have been a devoted and happy C1 user.

My program randomly crashes as well.

In the process tab you can press process. This will add image to the process queue.

When you want to process you simply check the "Enable Batch Queue" and the list of images will be processed. Of course you can also just leave it checked and the images will start processing as soon as you press the process button.

When you launch the tutorial which I linked to a couple of posts up, the last section of this is called "Process Images" and shows exactly how do this in a streaming video.

    Hope this help.

For reasons not related to Capture One I've downloaded the 10.5.1 update and run it again (the first time was via Software Update) and so far I'm not experiencing the crash on thumbnail creation and the 0 tint is sticking to a value of 0.

EDIT: I was mistaken, I've had it crash again. Could this be related to having another application running at the same time (possibly Photoshop?)

One more dumb question if someone can help..
In Windows, C1 would automatically created a develops subfolder of the original.
On my Mac, it instead creates a Capture One Settings folder, then 3 subfolders below that. Image Settings, Previews, and Thumbnails.
It confuses the heck out of me!!

And, I keep getting this error in profiles.
    ~/Library/ColorSync/Profiles/Nikon D200 generic.icm
Tag 'desc': Tag size is not correct.
    ~/Library/ColorSync/Profiles/Nikon D200 portrait.icm
Tag 'desc': Tag size is not correct.

Am I in the wrong section to hope for a Phase One response?

Yes, User Forum is wrong place.
Here you will get answers and responses from other Users and occasionally from Phase One Staff.

It is best to contact Phase One Tech Support directly by creating a Support Case. System is monitored 18+ hours / day / M-F and a Case will not be closed until resolved:

    1 Answer here...
Windows Develops folder = Mac Process Folder

This is one of 3 default folders created for every Session.
    Capture
    Process
    Trash

Ok, can someone at lease tell me how to get a "Develops" folder where I will find my processed .tiffs?
I do not have that now on my Mac. No Tiffs at all now after I process!

You will find all the answers to your questions in our knowlegebase: http://support.phaseone.com You can search for articles on everything from how to use different elements of Capture one, to compatibility, to troubleshooting.

When you create a session in C1 Mac a "Processed" (develops on PC) folder is created. You may use the default one or create a new one by choosing a folder and select "set as process folder" from the file menu. All processed files wile develop in your Processed folder or in a sub-folder there within depending on you process settings.

    Phase One.

All new machines that come from Apple come preinstalled with LEOPARD.

YOU NEED TO RELEASE A FIX ASAP PLEASE. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE FOR LEOPARD TO BE OUT THIS LONG AND PHASE NOT TO HAVE A REPAIR FOR C1 PRO.

THIS BETTER BE FIXED WITHIN TH 3.7.X RELEASE AND NOT MAKE US WAIT TIL 4. BECAUSE I WILL MOST LIKELY NOT BE USING 4 AND STATING WITH 3.7.X

    Well,

As a Loyal customer, I have been resisting switching from C1 to any other RAW converter program.

But after Leopard came I felt a lack of clarity and forthcoming which forced me to look at other options.

I am now a Lightroom user and probably will stay this way.

I am sincerely disappointed but, this is business and I have to get things done.

As stated previously, I'm using C1 3.7.7 with Leopard shooting tethered with a H20 back.

I'm noticing a new problem: some of the raw files are processing with large, horizontal dropouts (black bands). Oddly, when those files process with the dropouts, a second tiff file from the same raw file is processed automatically. I end up with one damaged file and one complete file.

i've the same problem with a p25 back and also with Canon 5D and Canon 1Ds Mark III.

the raw from 5d is ok but not with 1Ds.
both give problems with camera connection.

We're still waiting. Could you give us any indication of time? If you realistically don't think a fix will be out for months then it would be enormously helpful to me, as I could find a more permanent temporary solution other than Finder.

Hi, I own the P45+ and use it for primarily cosmetic campaigns and related advertising. Recently my computer went down so I purchased the MacPro 3.2ghz w/Leopard.

Question: next week I'm shooting a 6 figure (usd) campaign. Being that I'm responsible for the images...can I trust using a "work around" for this project.

Am I expected to buy Capture One 4? After spending some $40,000.00 on this back already, I would expect Phase One to give us something that works, at least until 3.7.8 is ready.

Will Phase One be responsible if images are corrupted while shooting with a "work around?"

    Kind Regards

    Michael

On November 22nd a Phase representative posted that an update would be released "soon." And of course soon has different meanings to many people. But, I'm pretty sure that 2 months later and still no update would by no means be considered "soon." Unless of course we want to take the Carl Sagan view on time... then we have millions and millions of years left before "soon" passes.

I'm reading about corrupt images. Does this have to do with the capture or the processing? Are the raw files being corrupted?

I'm only using C1 Pro for tethered capture. I use lightroom for my processing. So I need to make sure my raw files will be fine.

    Thanks,
    Jeff
