Sub folder in the Capture folder
I had created a session called "TestSession" in my laptop with a sub folder named "TestSub" created inside the Capture folder (the default "Capture" folder when the session was created), I then set the TestSub sub folder as the capture folder so that all pictures in this tethered session will be directed to the TestSub sub folder instead of its parent "Capture" folder. I also set the TestSub subfolder as my favourite. Everything is ok and I can do everything on it. Now I copied the entire TestSession folder (includes all the files and subfolders under this TestSession folder) to my home PC. When I using the "Open" command on my home PC's Capture one pro 12 to open this copied over session, nothing seems working as described. I can still see the TestSub favourite that I had created in my laptop but when I click on it, I didn't see any pictures there. I can see there is an exclamation mark besides the TestSub favourite short cut. So I did another test in my laptop, this time I moved all the picture from TestSub subfolder back to its parent folder "Capture" and removed the TestSub subfolder and the corresponding favourite shortcut. Same as before, I then copied the entire "TestSession folder over to the PC and opened it using the "Open" command there, this time everything is there. It looks like Capture one 12 only support the default folder structure when the session was opened in another computer other than the one the session was created. Is this how it is or I did something wrong when using subfolders?

How exactly did you proceed after selecting File->Open?
I just moved a session folder from my main disk to a scratch disk on the same computer. The session folder, the Session so to speak, is the folder with folders Capture, Output, Selects, Trash folders inside plus the very important file your_session_name.cosessiondb. I then started C1, continued with File->Open and navigated to the copied session folder and double clicked on the file my_session_name.cosessiondb. C1 opened that session and everything is where I expected it to be.
I right clicked on a random thumbnail image in the browser, selected "Show in Explorer" and C1 navigated the explorer directly to the copied image inside the copied session on the scratch disk. I tried a few more thumbnails and it all appears to work ok. Alas, I do not currently have C1 installed on a second computer to test with, but I suspect that would work too.0 -
I opened the db exactly the same way as you did. File -> Open -> opened the db file. Do you have subfolders inside the Capture folder? C1 was working with no issues when there is no subfolder inside the Capture folder. Only when there are subfolders inside the Capture folder the problem appears. 0 -

Yes, I do. The session I copied to check before I posted, had only two sub folders inside the Capture folder as it is my most recent session. I just repeated the procedure, same session but three sub folders and a few hundreds more images. As far as I can tell, it is all there in the copied session, images, metadata, adjustments, output, trash. The copied session even started with the same image selected.
C1 has some user- and possibly installation-specific housekeeping data that may perhaps come into play when a session is copied between computers. You need someone with C1 installed on multiple computers to test this for you. Your best bet may be to file a Support ticket.0
