Editing in PS and returning into Capture One?
I am desperately trying to figure this out. Want to edit in PS CC and when complete have my edited image show back up in the Capture One session when saved in PS. I once saw a youtube video on how to do this but I can't find it now.
Any help please? Thank you.

Hi, I do not know the video but it should make no problems. Fall menue: Image - Open with, then you should see PS and others; otherwise go to main setting. After saving in PS in C1 this should be seen. lars 0 -
What I'm having trouble with is while in C1 I can goto "Edit In Photoshop" then make my edits but when I save I want my newly edited verision to show up in my C1 session.
I can "Save as" to a particular folder while in Photoshop but the edited version never show up in C1. Even when I "Save as" to the C1 folder.0 -
In your last case, you may want to synchronize the folder. You get asked wether to import the image(s) and if you confirm, your PS files should be visible now.
Kind Regards,

What I'm trying to get at is when saving the edited photo in photoshop that that edited photo show up in C1.
I don't see any reason why this shouldn't happen unless it's a bug or neglect by Phase One. Having to go though another 'Import' thus creating another session just doesn't make sense for a workflow. This has worked in LR for years.0 -

Re your comment I have made bold: you would certainly hope it does work across Adobe products I would think.
If you have created a non-C1 file type in a controlled content environment, as you process does I think, based on your description, then it is reasonable to tell the storage medium that you do want the file to be managed by the application IF the file type is supported and is not the same file type and file name that you originally sent out to PS.
If you work in a certain way using a session then what you want might well occur once you have re-read the folder into which you deliver the new Photoshop based file - but you would have to tell C1 to go looking for the file in the session and that folder were already open since it is not monitoring some random folder as a 'hot folder' looking for second by second updates.
So one way or another you need to tell Capture One that there is something you want it to know about at which point it will go and look.0 -
Thanks for the help friends. I've found it. It requires that you CMD-S not 'Save As"
Thanks again.-1
