    no not possible. If you really want you could use Automator or AbetterFinderrenamer to do it for you.

    Hi,
    If you set your camera up so that it names files as a consecutive number ie 1234.xxx, then set up Capture 1 as follows;

    Open the NEXT CAPTURE NAMING tool
    Format = Name_Camera Counter
    Name = <YOURJOBNAME>,
    that should rename imports as YOURJOBNAME_1234.xxx.

    That should work.

    Regards,
    Jonathan

    Erm, what does *censored word* mean? I typed three x's in a row as a placeholder for the file suffix, came out as *censored word* Weird. Not helpful. Hopefully you get the idea.

    Alternative: instead of camera counter use the 4 digit counter in the suggestion above.

    I am running 6.4.3 and cant see how I can just use the original camera file#'s throughout the process. that's how I have always worked and want to continue. Above posts are confusing. Can anyone straighten me out?

    Thanks!

    Three x's in a row has a different meaning on the internet. Something with 'adult content'. Something for a different forum.
