    Hello Aleksander,

I think the best option for you is create a ticket at Phase One.

At the same time you can answer some questions:
    - which version you are running? 7.2.3?
    - do you have enabled OpenCL in C1? If not do this )both OpenCL options set to Auto)
    - where are you RAW Files?
    - do you use C1 in Session or Catalog Mode?

My english is not better than yours 😄

Hey, and thanks for quick reply 😊

I'll do that too, but thought you guys might have a fix or something 😜 I don't want to make a big deal out of it if it's already solved.

    - Latest, I believe it's 7.2.3.
    - It's slow with OpenCL in Auto or Off setting, tried every combination too.
    - My RAW files is on a IcyBox IB-RD3640(?) 4bay 4x2TB 10.000RPM Raid-5, USB-3.. I changed filesystem to OS X's filesystem because I moved my workflow from Win to Mac. In win I had no problem with working on this external drive. The system reads the files fast, I can tell that by watching disk-led status. Seems like the OS or the App is the bottleneck, because it takes seconds after disk is finished until I get next RAW's preview.
    - Clients, Sessions. Me, family, etc is in catalog by year. Slow in both modes, doesn't matter how many images I have.

My experience is similar I am afraid. It looks that CO is poorly optimised for OSX. I actually bought a licence hoping to find a new home after Apple kicked out Aperture users. One performance issue that I find unacceptable is when you use an adjustment slider, the image goes slightly out of focus and stays there until you release the mouse. Not much help when you are trying to sharpen the image 😊 So you end up with a trial and error clicking to get the result you want.

My iMac config is identical to yours BTW, they don't make them any faster. Aperture and Lightroom and Photoshop all have pretty much real time performance, Aperture being the fastest of the lot.

    Hello.

I am currently too looking for an alternative to Apple's Aperture and bought a CaptureOne license to
do thorough testing. After about a month of experience now I have the same impression, that CaptureOne on Mac
is not performing very well. I systematically tried each configuration option to see if any of those has an impact
for better overall response. None worked. And, the configuration of my iMac with Core i7, 32 GByte of memory, 512 GByte SSD Harddrive is definitely not the limiting factor.

Same experiences here on my MacBook Pro 15" retina (16 gb RAM, 500 gb SSD, 2,3 i7) from Oct 2013. C1 is poorly optimized for OSX. Compared to Aperture, C1 is performing as it is installed on several years old hardware. If I see the advertisement of Phase One (regarding speed), I feel being spoofed. The polished phrases are a slap in the face. It was a mistake to buy the license. Other Mac users should be warned.
