Road Map
I like this software, even though the workflow is a bit odd. Gives much better results with my Fuji x100t than Lightroom, but it's ~wash with my Nikon files + NIK plug-ins, although I get more, IMO,"film-like results with CO8.
Highlight and shadow recovery in combination with levels are superior in CO8 to both CNX and LR. But DXO is pretty good. If DXO added layers ...
Would buy iView tomorrow if I knew where it was going and if it worked with CO8 under Yosemite. DAM in LR and Aperture beats CO8 in my opinion
Phase One got my $ for CO8, but $ for v9 will be hard to get from me without road map clarity and DAM integration.

I think it is quite clear that Phase One is integrating iView/MediaPro into Capture One. Early days and for that results are not too bad. It is almost usable as a DAM today IMHO. My biggest beef is performance of the DAM "module", although it is miles better with rev 8. Still it is a struggle with 60K image catalogue. Especially after Aperture which does everything real time. My personal prediction is that Phase One will kill Media Pro once integration is complete. 0
