Nikon D70s issues with trial C1
Good day all, I'm thinking of switching my capture software from Nikon's Capture 4 to Phase One as I hope to one day shoot all of my dig files into one software suite, regardless of camera used.
For now however I am shooting a D70s but the software will not detect it.
My computer detects the camera being activated and I can access the files from the computer, and my Nikon software works in this regard, but the C1 shuffles a bit, and then in the \"Camera Selected\" Area, mentions that \"no Canon Camera is detected\"
Is the Canon the default camera?
Is there a preference setting I'm missing?
Any advice is appreciated.......at least in the next 30 days (trial version)
Best,
Daniel

Daniel,
The D70s is a supported camera, so it sounds as though you are attempting to shoot tethered into Capture One PRO. Currently, only the Canon EOS DSLRs will tether directly. However there is a way to shoot your Nikon.
Please see the Knowledge Base article #1919 at web site.

Thanks, that cleared up the info a little bit, but I am noticing none of my NEF's are recognized by the C1 software (v 3.7.1)
Thanks for trying.

Daniel,
The D70s became supported in Capture One version 3.7.1 so if this is indeed the version you have, they should be recognized.
Be sure that the files are RAW images and be sure that you have not used the Nikon software to work on the files in any manner. Images should be transferred from camera/CF card to computer and then loaded into a Session.
Thumbnails and Previews will then be created.
Regards,
kc0
