Whilst shooting tethered on Capture 5.0.1, it keeps becoming un-tethered and will not connect unless I force quit, then re-connect I have no problem with my phase one back, but constant problems being very erratic with my canon 5D.

Basic checklist for tethering issues (some may not apply to your case)
----------------------------------------------------
* program activation: are you running the Pro version (not standard or DB) of Capture One as trial or activated
* tethered support for your camera: look into the release notes of your version of Capture One Pro; cameras supported for tethering are listed on a separate page; look for later releases of Capture One Pro that might support your camera; note that in particular for new models raw support does not always provide for tethered support in the same release (comes often later)
* communication setting on camera: applies to older Canon models; see Capture One Pro release notes and your camera manual
* cable and connection: Canon 1D/1D N/1Ds mkII camera need firewire connection, not USB
* camera firmware update may solve some issues; check whether you are up to date
* operating system connectivity: does the operating system (Win/Mac) see the camera when connected and switched on?; look in Device Manager (Win) or System Profiler (Mac); if not look again into the communication setting, cable, connection, driver or firmware checks
* other programs may hijack the connection (Canon EOS Utility for example); only one application can connect to your camera at a time; close the application before you start Capture One Pro0 -
Hello-
Ran into an issue. I'm using the trial version running windows 10. CANON 5D is listed but will not tether. So, Lightroom wont tether and neither will this. what works? Thank you. Mark
