Copying image adjustments from Session to Catalog

I have the same image in 2 different folders on my hard drive. One image was adjusted using a C1 Session. The 2nd copy has been imported into a C1 Catalog. I haven't made any adjustments to the Catalog copy.

Is it possible to import the adjustments from the Session image and apply them to the Catalog image?

    If it's the same image, all you have to do is import it into the catalog. Open the catalog, choose the Import command from the menu or use the import button. In "Import From" at the top of the dialog box, choose the location of the image that you have adjusted in the session. You may have to use the Choose folder option on the drop down list and navigate to the folder. Click open, then select the image you want from the thumbnails. Then VERY IMPORTANT make sure the "Include existing adjustments" box is selected, then click the import button. It takes longer to describe than to do.

    Thanks for the details.

    I should have mentioned in my original post that I want to move away from sessions and use a Catalog. So, I guess what I'm asking is how to transfer the adjustments to the Catalog image so that I can delete the Session and the image file in that folder.

    Do you have the original image stored twice, once for the catalogue and once for the session?

    Yes, two copies of the same file. My intent is to delete the Session and files after I copy/transfer the adjustments to the image referenced by the Catalog.

    Is there any reason that you cannot just delete form the catalogue and import from the session?

    If you need to MERGE the EXIF/IPTC/Edit information of both files things would be more complicated.

    Assuming this will be a "one by one" adjustment rather than a mass copy you may find a way to copy and paste the settings from the session to the catalogue.

    That said I'm a sessions user so copying edit data across to a catalogue is not something I have needed to investigate.
