Just select Open... from the File menu (Ctrl+O) and select your catalog.

If I am correct the Express version does not have File>Open command. I suggest you do the following:

Close CO8 and copy the catalog from drive D over the new and empty catalog on C. Start CO8.

That worked. Thank you very much. My catalog is now on C drive. Do you know whether I can move it to the D drive?

As I recall Express version works with ONLY and Default catalog on C drive only. This is a kind of limitation of Express version

From the top my head you have two options:
    1. Move the catalog to the new destination and start CO8 Express. As it can find the catalog, you get a browse window. Browse to the new location and you're done. Next time it will look for the new location.
    2. Move the catalog to the new location. In the catalog folder double-click on the captureone.cocatalogdb (or similar name) file. CO8 will open with that catalog and you are done. (Edit, this will not work but show a dialog with proper instructions mentioned below).

    Edit:
I have to make a correction to my earlier statements. With CO 8 Express, you have to start the program while keeping the Shift-key pressed (Alt-key for Mac). Next, click the Browse button and select another catalog database file. That catalog will become the default catalog.

This is a common believe, however I believe you can open any catalog at any location with Express.

Ok are we talking about catalog database, or about images. Of course storing images could be stored anywhere but as I recall in express catalog database is only on c: drive.
Paul_Steunebrink - could you pls confirm that.

    Confirmed: catalog.

See my edits in the post above for the correct procedure. Express can only handle ONE catalog, but you can select another then the default catalog and it may be in another then the default location.
