Saving adjustment layers (+tools styles)
I need to reinstall C1 entirely (support said so). I work with catalogs and from what I have seen of the procedure, this reinstall will wipe out all my edits. But I want to keep them.
For some pictures, which don't have local adjustments, that is not too much of a problem: I save everything as a style and move on. But for many, I have created local adjustments, e.g., dust/blemish repairs or localised color balance, that I want to keep. I have been looking for a few days now at ways to save local edits (mask + tools settings) but have come up empty-handed.
Any thoughts or suggestions?

Re-installing the APP should not delete anything with the catalog. I cannot understand why they would have said that. Now they might wanted you to delete the preference file, which just holds some settings, but nothing to do with the catalog.
If you want to be safe, back up your catalog before the re-install, then put it back if it got removed.

Sorry, just to clarify, Phase One said I had to do a clean reinstall. They haven't said it would wipe out all my edits. That was my interpretation of the result of the steps they asked me to take.
Of course, the sane and simple answer is to use the backup... and I didn't even think of that. 🤭0
