how to export albums between Macs???
Hi. Recently returned from shooting in Antarctica and Chile. I used C1 4.6 on my laptop to organise my images. I then copied the complete folder to a hard drive and on to my desktop Mac. Opening the images on my desktop (C1 4.5) all the processing changes are recorded correctly. No issues there.
BUT. The Albums I created on my laptop have not been copied across. I find the Album facility very useful. Is there a way to copy existing albums between machines?
Thx for your help

Capture One Albums, also known as Session Albums, are session related like session folders, favorites and the session file which stores all the session fun. The by now well known *.col45 file is the session file and you have only one with CO4 but many with CO4 Pro/DB if you work with sessions.
That said, you have the best chance to move Albums between computers when you have made a session with CO4 Pro/DB and copy the entire session (with all the session files) to the other computer. Not tried this (at home) yet. In general, Albums are not transferrable but stuck to the computer you created it on but it is a 'No but' which could become a 'Yes but'.0 -
Hi Paul
Thx for your reply but I already made sure I copied the *.col45 file over. It looks as though Albums are really intended only for individual session work. I was using Albums to build a folder of say, all 'penguins with babies' shot and downloaded on different dates and on two cameras. Works great on the laptop but looks like I should have used some other sorting and filtering mechanism, maybe keywords or ratings which would move along with the original image file. Thx anyway.......0 -
Rating and color tag move with the image adjustments to select and sort. Not sure about key wording. 0
