Session Favorites
Since upgrading to to 4.6 whenever I select an Output Folder the selected folder appears in the Session Favorites list automatically. Is the a setting somewhere to stop this happening?
It's very annoying as I don't use Sessions and have 12 set Output Folders on a network drive.
Cheers,
Terry

Terry,
When you select another Output folder, the previous output folder appears in your favorites list. This is a setting set by the user (!) when changing the output folder. A dialog pops-up. In that dialog there is besides Yes/No buttons also a checkbox telling not to ask this again. If the box is checked and button clicked Yes, the result is a described.
The dialog does not reappear but there is no Preference setting or other setting in the GUI to reset this behavior.
How to reset this remains a mystery yet, but I will come back later with an answer hopefully (because this kind of nuisances intrigues me!)
Edit/update: the setting for not having the dialog box described above is stored in user.config file which can be found in C:\Documents and Settings\<user name>\Local Settings\Application Data\Phase_One\CaptureOne.exe_Url_yo1dlcbywehmlnrzeve3k34524ihyovw\4.6.24879.0
Note that on Vista it is C:\Users\...
Removing user.config is basically resetting all preferences.
I also found out that when I say No (i.e. do not put previous output folders in favorites) and check for not asking again, it will be stored in favorites anyway.
I will contact Phase One about this.
Tip: try changing output folder from Output tool tab instead of right-clicking on folder in Library tool tab to avoid placing folder in session favorites.0 -
Dear Terry and Paul,
we have discovered this problem in Capture One 4.6 and will correct it in future releases. Currently if you select No and let the program remember this setting it will still behave as if you selected Yes. The only way to do so is to delete the user.config file and then tell the program No every time.
I am sorry for the inconvenience on your behalf, but as said we are aware of this and will fix it as soon as we can.0 -
Jakub,
thanks very much for the quick reply.
Paul, I had thought of that but as my input and output folders are related that's not the answer in my case.
Cheers,
Terry0
