Constant Crashes
Hi. I recently downloaded the trial version of c1 11 with an eye to moving over from Lightroom. After a bit of a nightmare trying to import a LR catalog (dozens of images seemingly duplicated and many more missing) I finally decided to just manually import them all.
During all this I had quite a few crashes and system hang ups, mostly when using the crop and straighten tools. I now have everything imported but any time I load up C1 and try to click on a folder of images nothing happens and then the program crashes. Every single time! The program is essentially useless to me right now and as a trial for the new program this is a terrible impression. Don’t think I’ll be throwing money at this lemon anytime soon. Regardless, if anyone has any ideas on how to get it working again that’d be appreciated.
My system is a 5k late 2015 27†iMac i5 with 2gb AMD graphics and 16gb of RAM.

Same system as me. I've been using Capture One Pro since version 8 on a variety of machines and frequent crashes seem to be a part of life with C1 unfortunately. I really wish Phase would get a handle on stability. Unfortunately we move on to the next version before things get ironed out and then we continue again with the new version! I've had frequent, random crashes with 11. Though on the whole the software runs pretty snappily on my system. C1 - the Alfa Romeo of the raw conversion world 😁
Saying that I do love the software. So much so that I'm thinking of purchasing 11 and not renewing my Adobe subscription. See how I get on with it for the next year.
I'm not sure about a remedy for your issue but I'm sure someone will be along soon with some advice.0 -

Clearly some people have persistent problems, some a few probelsm form time to time but mostly hardly any at all - certainly in terms of crashes.
Login on to the Phase One account you set up when downloading the software and create a Support Case. That is the way to get the C1 support team to help you work out what is going on. It's a no-charge service and you can use it during trial periods.
