NEF and saving as .jpg in CS3

NEF files processed as .jpgs in Capture One open in CS3 as .tiffs...and I can't see any way of saving .tiffs as .jpgs in P/S (RGB 8 bit). The only way I can actually process .jpgs from NEF files is with Nikon's Capture NX which came free with my recently purchased Nikon D300.

Capture One is great...if I can get over this hurdle I will probably purchase it. Thanks.

    Forget about CS3 for a minute. How does CO3 store the images, tiff or jpeg?

    Next, check the process tab, file format. And if you use CO3 Pro, check all three tabs (Image1 to 3) on top of the process tab; which one is selected (Enable output) and the file format.
