I can't help, sorry, just wanted to say that I have the exact same problem and it's extremely annoying, especially with larger catalogs... (i'm still on 10.8.5, so it's not only Mavericks)

Hope someone comes up with a fix... 😭

I migrated to Mavericks about 6 weeks ago, from OSX 10.6.9.
In that version of OSX, MP did not exhibit this behavior/problem, so I believe that PhaseOne has not fully tested compatibility since 10.6.9 (after hearing from you that 10.8 has the same problem as Mavericks with this).
I've been a user of MP since iView MediaPro v1. iView did keep the program current and relevant, but PhaseOne is doing no better than MicroSoft at keeping the program current and usable.
I'm hoping that they test and work out the bugs, as this is the only program that is so easy to use for organizing images and more!
But they need to put in a little more effort.
(Please, PhaseOne - you have a great program here. Please keep it technologically relevant and bring it up to date.)

Same here I'm using a intuos 4 and this Bug does exist before Mavericks ... 😭 the problem is, it's still there in Mavericks. Even wih the last release of Media Pro 1.4.2, and YES it make 👿 impossible to use Media Pro with a tablet, and it's really pity because it was a very useful way to use Media Pro !

Does anyone know when the bug first appeared?
I was using the last version of 10.6 (I believe it was 10.6.😎, and it did not have the problem.
Someone said that 10.8 had the problem, in addition to 10.9.
    Is that the case?
And how about OSX 10.7? I may resort to it, if I have to go back a version or two to use the tablet again.

I wish PhaseOne would get full Mavericks compatibility.
I waited for a long time to go from Expressions Media to Media Pro, thinking I'd see how they supported it. I finally decided to pay the upgrade, in order to support PhaseOne's efforts to provide Media Pro. I now think I may have made a mistake, since they are not providing an up to date application to us.
I've apparently "been had" yet again.

Please, PhaseOne you've got a great one-of-a-kind program.
    Make it work.

Having the same issue here. Running Mavericks 10.9.2, MP 1.4.1.67972, Wacom Intuos 5 Touch. Happens with all catalogs, large and small.

I didn't regularly use my Wacom when managing MediaPro back on Mountain Lion, but have been using it for everything these days.

I only notice the behavior when using the grip pen, not when simply using the tablet as a huge trackpad. I thought maybe turning off touch on the tablet would fix the issue, thinking that maybe the palm of my hand was causing the behavior, but it doesn't.

Does it exhibit this unwanted scrolling in OSX 10.7?

I may have to go back to 10.7 or 10.6, because this is too annoying a bug to live with.

I don't know where this odd behavior could have come from. PhaseOne is obviously not doing much testing before releasing updates for Media Pro - not that they are supporting it at all.

If anyone has been able to use 10.7 without the scrolling, please post if you could, as I will be downgrading OSX to a previous version.

    Thanks!

Same problem here, since a toooooo long time (latest configuration : OSX 10.9.4, Intuos3 6x8 driver v. 6.3.8-2).
Any solution found/done since April (thanks to roboticon for the first post) ?

Bumping this thread. My company has almost 50 copies of Media Pro, and we are moving to Mavericks soon. I can reproduce this issue consistently in Mavericks (although not in 10.6.x-10.8.x, although I am not doubting that others are seeing it). If anyone has heard about a solution please let me know. We have tested the issue with all versions of the Wacom Driver, and 10.9.5 with Media Pro 1.4.2. ONE OTHER NOTE: interestingly, Media Pro does not have to be in the foreground or have focus. It can just be a background window and if the tablet tool comes near the tablet it scrolls down. ALSO, the bigger the tablet, the more it scrolls (we have tablet sizes medium through Extra Large). Anyone have a solution? I have filed a trouble ticket with Phase One.

This bug is not recent. I have it with a Wacom Bamboo on OSX 10.7 and 10.8, no wonder it's still there.

I filed a trouble ticket with Phase One. Here was their response:
Unfortunately this is a Driver related conflict from Wacom. It is something that occurs with their devices from time to time with any application.
Notable software's that have been effected by this driver issue in the past include Excel, TextWrangler, Firefox and even Adobe Bridge.

In the past Driver Updates have always been the proper fix from Wacom, but some software developers have chosen to impose workarounds for the Wacom driver conflicts by ignoring proximity inputs from the device. Unfortunately at this time Media Pro does not have such a workaround. At the current time the only solution is to contact Wacom to determine if they have a driver that can address this for you.

The last time this issue was addressed successfully was with driver 5.26 on the 10.8 OS. It may be possible to use this driver or perhaps another version 5 Driver but that is best addressed by Wacom.

I am in contact with the Wacom support now, but Media Pro is the only application having this issue, so I am not convinced they will not bounce me back to Phase One, I am just hoping they will be able to give me some information to give Phase One to help them find the issue (truthfully I think it is probably a shared issue between the software, the OS, and the driver). I will update this thread as I get new information.
