Bugs?
I'm having couple issues with version 4.
First I'm unable to make my camera profile "stick" image to image. It always defaults to "generic" when moving to the next image. Not sure it is an issue at all since there is no noticeable change when selecting the proper profile. Is the right profile actually selected in the background, but "generic" is being displayed? Along the same vein, there seems to be a problem with choosing the camera profile. If I select the profile (30d) from the Canon list, "generic" still shows, but if I select the same profile from the "other" list, then the proper profile shows.
Second is the "import" window. The drop down selections in a couple of the windows only partially show and can't be read. My monitor display is 1280 x 1024. Third, the button to customize the tool bar does not display at all, even at full screen.
Other than that, thanks Phase One. Great job. This is the one I've been waiting for.

I am not happy with v4 (partly cache, mainly lack of Pro features) so I will stay with 3.7 Pro (and Canon DPP for my 1Ds3) for the time being. I will have another look when V4.0.x+2 or Pro is available.
As noted elsewhere the F1 button in V4 does not bring up Help as it should.
However the number and nature of the bugs reported against v4 are nothing compared with the criticism of recently launched DxPro v5. I was looking at possible alternatives and there are major bugs, not merely difference of opinion over capability, being reported on their forums! The problems are far worse and more fundamental than any reported here.
So from that point of view we can take some comfort.0 -
bodog,
Is the right profile actually selected in the background, but "generic" is being displayed?
Exactly ! and I'd agree it is a bit confusing.

I have the same screen res. and don't see what you're seeing. You should submit a Support Case with details and screenshots attached:
Technical Support Site: http://support.phaseone.com
Customize toolbar seems to be Mac Only.
F1 immediately brings up the Help Document on my 2 machines, so I'm not sure what would prevent it on other systems.

Keith, thanks for the response. I tried to establish a support case yesterday, but apparently the server was in overload. I'll try again. 0 -

F1 will not pop Help up on my Vista Business maching when I have an image selected. If I select a folder but not an image F1 does nothing.

Martin,
I'm not sure if this could be a Vista thing or not.
My 2 XP machines F1 brings up the Guide right away.
The Capture One User Guide is a PDF document and has been loaded with the program at:
C:\\Program Files\\Phase One\\Capture One4
so you could create a Shortcut to it or place it where convenient.

With me on Vista, F1 brings up the user guide if an image is selected, but does nothing if an image is not selected. 0 -
I can confirm that the action is the same for Windows XP. Windows XP S2 brings up the help file if a file is selected. No file selection result in no help file. 0
